I had a large credit that had accumulated on my account. I called in and they said they could issue a refund cheque, but it could take up to ten days for me to get it. This would have been fine, as it still would have been in time for Christmas. When the cheque didn't arrive 20 days later, I called back in and was referred to a supervisor. The supervisor told me their agent hadn't completed the request properly, so they would have to do it now. I asked if they could courier a cheque or if I could pick it up somewhere, she advised me they could do nothing other than resubmit the request. Thanks for the awesome customer service BC Hydro. I will be switching to your competitors. Oh wait. I can't can I? I guess this explains the complete lack of customer service and plain old human sympathy and consideration. Merry Christmas!
