I rarely post reviews for anything but the service was so exceptional today when I visited the store in Sidney. Kind , helpful employees that didn’t make me rushed and went out of their way to help me find everything I needed. When leaving the yard the gentleman checking my purchase was respectful, thoughtful and again kind. It really made my day. I will definitely be going back there. Thank you fir making g my shopping experience positive during such uncertain times.

I rarely write reviews but feel compelled to due to really horrible customer service and over priced materials. I applied for an account in early september with Lee Dennis who was very rude and unhelpful over the phone. I also sent a materials list since we were starting to frame our house. The prices were almost twice the amount of home depot. She quoted 41 /sheet for 7/16 osb, I picked them up for 27/sheet at home depot. And she told me for all my materials she would charge 500 for a crane truck to deliver. When I sent a photo of this price all communication ended. After a week of no response in regards to an account I called again and spoke to the manager Josh. He promised to make sure this account was created and apologized for Lee's unprofessional behaviour. I still dont have an account. I ended up renting a uhaul and hand bombing the all framing materials for about 1/2 the cost Slegg quoted. Although I had to buy 1/2" ply and roof membrane. The ply was 12 more a sheet than home depot and the roofing membrane 45 more a roll. In total we ended up spending over 1000 more by having to go to these goofs. Their yard staff also is completely useless too, I asked for help picking out a membrane and I was told that nobody on site knew anything about roofing materials, so I ended up having to do my research through Google. Dont support these goofs, they are unknowable and unprofessional.

I have been trying to reach Slegg Lumber by email and phone for 10 days. I left a phone message and an online one but no one has replied. When I called again yesterday, the operator said all ‘customer service’ staff were busy. I told her about my problem but she could offer no solution. This is not the first time I have had trouble with service at Slegg’s. It’s also not the second time. I believe there is a systemic problem with the service culture at this location that can only be addressed by management. When I phoned another business about the same product, I received a call back within 10 minutes after the staff member made a call to the central warehouse. 10 minutes or 10 days. You pick!

excellent store!!!!! and products!!!. the staff are great. They are friendly and very knowledgeable. i have found that they will go out of their way to make sure we have what we need. the vast product selection and the store itself are very well organized . special orders products such as non stocked products are easily obtained from talking to their knowledgeable staff in contract sales. great store and great people. thank you for your excellent service from the team at Yager Construction LTD.

I've got a few thousand dollars burning a hole in my pocket for pavers so you'd think they'd return my calls and emails but I get nothing, multiple times. I've had to make the 60 km round-trip twice from Victoria to talk to them in person, and they are nice enough, just not responsive to their voice mail or phone.
