I went in the store last week because I was wanting to check out the store and see the lumber. The older lady cashier was very grumpy and her attitude towards her coworkers made me feel uneasy. Definitely not the first thing I want to see when I go into a store. The nice young lady beside her made me smile. She had a positive energy towards the customers and fellow staff members. Once I got to the yard I was wanting to check out the lumber and see what my options are. I asked a couple staff members for some advice and they were very helpful. An older gentle men named Larry was very helpful and definitely knew what he was doing. He helped the workers and me. That man deserves a pay raise! He was a huge help. I was getting help from a young person. They were very happy and did their best to help me. Another customer service worker came and helped me too. The two worked together to help me find what I would want. The 3 people in the yard who helped me were all very good and wonderful. Someone who looked like there boss was just staring at us and looked very angry. He started to walk over and asked them what they were doing. Why ask such a dumb question? They are with a customer helping? That’s what they are doing! I asked them for his name and they said Paul. What a shame! I wouldn’t want to deal with that and that is my main reason I will not be going back. I can get the same product at Rona with no cranky older lady cashier and no Paul. I’ve been in contact with my friend who gets product from country and he said he had a bad experience with Paul too. Not impressed at all.

The yard kids are very nice and helpful and so are the people inside. I’m giving 2 stars because of how I saw the workers being treated! The boss just yells at them and talks down to them! I was there for not long and I can already tell he wouldn’t allow them to be right about anything. He was the only one allowed to be right. I asked the worker for the boss’ name and they said it was Paul. In my experience if I have to deal with Paul again I won’t be coming back. That’s a lumber yard and a lot of kids first time jobs. I wouldn’t want to work under him if I was those kids! You can see how unhappy they are when he’s around. In my opinion that Paul guy is leaving a bad impression on the kids and not doing his job right at all. I was with him for 5 minutes and I already wanted to leave. I couldn’t imagine dealing with that all day. I feel bad for those kids!
The guy at the counter was helpful and knowledgeable. The guys in the yard were quick. Very busy lumber yard
No place better to get your lumber. Great people working there!
