replying to the post by Trevor Mulder. I know the story of this incident and it is not as he has been explained. Yes, the wrong size was ordered and it was not realized by his family member until it was partially or completely on. Interesting, since he was installing it himself. He was offered a full refund by returning the siding. He refused to removed the siding, but instead insisted on a full refund. He was offered a 5% refund on his siding order of 600, but refused that as well. The owner of the store even went to his house to see. He continues to state there was no compensation or acknowledgement of responsibility for a wrong order, which is incorrect. He continued to return demanding a full refund and it was repeatedly stated he could have one, if he returned the siding. He had purchased other items at the store as well.

After spending over 5000 at this store during the past couple of months, they ordered me the wrong size siding.(5” not 4”) I started putting it up, and my daughter noticed it was the wrong size. I called them and told them they ordered the wrong size and was simply asking for some reasonable compensation for the error on their part, as I was willing to keep the siding up so it did not become waste for them, as it would become garbage as soon as I started ripping it back down. I tried to deal with them, but because I started putting it up, they took no responsibility for ordering and delivering the wrong product. I explained that I take responsibility for not noticing it sooner, but they take no responsibility for ordering and delivering the wrong siding. I requested a refund of some of the cost and they gave me nothing. The manager yelled at me and the owner refused to do anything and hung up on me. I tried to shop locally, but now I’m left with a garage with different siding then my house. I had the option to shop at a big box store, but I chose to support local, especially during this COVID season to help to build back up our community. Their actions clearly have show my business there in spending over 5,000 during COVID, when so many businesses needed the boost, was clearly not needed by the way I was treated. So now I have mismatched siding and have received no compensation. I won’t be going back there.
Excellent family run hardware store. Excellent customer service and very fair pricing. They are my first stop anytime I need anything. I would highly recommend doing business with them.
