We had used Top Hat in the past for chimney work and it did not occur to us to use them for a furnace issue. When 2 companies specializing in furnace work did not call us back I reviewed an old invoice and was pleased to see they were an option. 1. Jonathan showed up on time and patiently explained the issue. We suspected our furnace needed replacing after 30 years. Jonathan didn't just tell us...he showed us with pictures. We had issues with our AC unit this past summer so we asked if we could do that at the same time to make the job more efficient. He checked with his HQ and made it happen. 2. Shayne and his crew showed up to do the work. Prompt and professional with a great attitude. Laid down their work mats...removed the old units...installed the new...put a new vent into a cold room and installed a new Google thermostat...and showed us how to use it. We could not believe the amount of work they completed in one day. VERY VERY pleased and 100% recommend.
I'd been researching fuel efficient wood burning insert fireplaces for 5 years. The folks at Top Hat gave me a lot of great advice and I ended up purchasing the Summit model made by Pacific Energy. It is the best choice I could have made. I went from an old, inefficient fireplace that provided no heat to a unit that can easily heat my main floor (26 feet x 37 feet).
