Made an appointment months ago to make sure I could get in as soon as my benefits would allow. They accidentally book me on Family day. So I had to call them back to tell them this was a holiday. No problem, they push the appointment back a few days and told me it was for the same time slot. Well apparently it wasn't because I showed up what I thought was 15 minutes early only for them to tell me I was 15 minutes late. I know I would never had booked this time slot as it would never had given me enough time to get there from where I work. Instead of trying to fit me in anyway for a mistake they made, I don't even get an apology for wasting my time and tell me it will be a couple more weeks to get a new appointment for a time slot that I can make. I could get in 1 week sooner if I was willing to take time time off of work for the appointment. At first I decided to take the earlier appointment because I didn't want to wait longer for new glasses but decided against it and called them back to cancel and tell them I no longer wanted to be a customer. Most people care enough about actually wanting to keep customers but that apparently doesn't bother them as all I got was \OK\. This could have been completely avoided had they sent a confirmation text or email like most places do these days. Even if the time was wrong I could have made an effort to get out of work early to try and make the appointment or at the very least reschedule without having to make the drive out for nothing. My previous experience with the optometrist was very positive, it's just too bad the business itself seems to care so little for the customer.

I have been a patient for almost 40 years. It is October 8th and I have an appointment scheduled for October 14. I received a phone call advising me if I wasn’t willing to pay 175.00 my appointment would be cancelled. I have had this appointment booked for months and due to Covid it’s been rescheduled numerous times. Apparently OCT scans and Opto Mapping are not options! Last time with FYI.
I bin seeing Dr. Neufeld for many years now and would recommend him to anyone. I’m very happy with the results and also with the staff. Keep up the good work
