New place. First time trying. Seems popular with young crowd. Tastes decent. Prices unforgiving just like most places in Richmond now. As you can see from the other reviews there are some controversies about the place.

Food is really good. Spice at its best. But horrible customer service if you go at 9 they will say no food left, where they reserved all the food in the fridge!

Okay quality. Had all you can eat option. It has to be waiters go pick your skewers. They are kind of mad at us because we order only a few skewers for each type of food. Well this is an all u can eat place, or you can let customers go pick up the food by themselves.

This place was better than what I expected and read about. The service was ok. The sauce bar for the dipping sauce was pretty good. Good variety and it seemed the garlic was freshly minced... different size of garlic pieces and even got the fresh garlic burn when I ate it. It could all be in my head but good garlic. We order the sauerkraut soup base and the red spicy soup base. We ordered spice at max level but I don't think it was that spicy. I like the way some of the meat options were wrapped around something, like beef wrapped enoki mushroom etc. We had the plum juice as well. All in all we had a pretty good meal and the price worked out better than we read about.

First time trying out Szechuan Chuanchuan hotpot. Really impressed that there are increasing number of different Chinese cuisines opening up in Vancouver, which I may not be able to try all these in HK. This dining experience was interesting, as they charged you by the weight of wooden skewers instead of the weight of food. I really liked the beef rolls, they are very flavorful as I can see they are all marinated and hand rolled. Would definitely come back.
