RE MacDonald is simply the best. From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted with friendly and knowledgeable staff who are happy to take the time and show you the various options, with live demonstrations of a wide variety of stoves and fireplaces. This level of attention and service continued when they attended our home for the free estimate. The actual installers were also very knowledgeable and showed a real attention to detail; from the stove and chimney placement, to painting the caulked connections so that everything would have a quality finish on the interior. It had taken us more than six years to get to a place where we could afford and accommodate a wood-burning stove. Even though there are other suppliers much closer to us, we knew from our past experiences of wishfully browsing RE MacDonald's Langley store that we wanted to purchase our stove through them and they surpassed every expectation. I can't recommend them enough. Super helpful, knowledgeable and affordable.

Eric arrived as scheduled to install my mew Valor fireplace. He wore a mask when he arrived, but as he was working in the downstairs family room, he did not mask while he was working alone. I was comfortable with that. He worked for about 6 hours, having covered the floor to protect the area, and when he was finished he uncovered and then vacuumed the area. He provided me with the manual for use, instructions for cleaning the glass if needed, and information about fire safety. He also suggested I watch a YouTube video for further instruction on use of the remote controller. I was very pleased with the service and would definitely recommend R E MacDonald to friends and family. Thank you for you excellent service. I am definitely a satisfied customer! Barbara Henman
We had to replace our old gas fireplace and relied on the experts at R E MacDonald and they didn't disappoint. Our sales rep. came to the house to measure and explain the steps to make the changes. Every expert that came to our home starting with removal and installation of the new fireplace to the new mantle and finally the installation of the new stone facing were great to deal with. The end result is fantastic!!!
The actual work was great, but there was next to no communication. Not even answers to emails. I realize this has been a bust time for them, and service is normally much, much, better.
We just purchased a new gas fireplace insert from RE MacDonald and found them to be an excellent supplier. John gave us great advice on which model would our open hearth and space and the installer was awesome. They ran new gas lines, installed a chimney liner and cap and even worked around an awkward keystone in our fireplace to ensure a perfect installation! We highly recommend RE MacDonald.
