My husband Eric and I spent our 2020 Christmas at Kayanara and it was fantastic! From the gorgeous scenic drive leaving Vancouver to arriving at the ranch, we anticipated a fun filled few days of playing in the snow, warming up by the fire, preparing delicious meals and celebrating Christmas...and it all happened exactly as planned! Daniel and Connie our hosts had a Christmas tree set up and waiting in our Wolf Cabin along with fresh home made bread. The fire burning in the wood stove, the horses in the field, the trails ready for snowshoeing, the full kitchen for cooking, the beautiful cozy log cabin...we couldn’t ask for more! Daniel and Connie are delightful and available to make your trip perfect. We highly recommended and will be back again to enjoy another escape.

We had a wonderful snowy stay at the ranch in February. The cabin was so cozy. The views from the living room were fantastic. We spent our days reading in front of the fireplace, greeting the horses in the field, walking in the snow, exploring frozen waterfalls, and snowshoeing on a nearby frozen lake. A perfect place to spend a long weekend in the winter. Can't wait to come back in the summer.
We went to Kayanara on the February 2021 and we loved our stay! The log cabin is beautiful and spacious, and the fireplace keep it warm even when outside is -20C. The ranch is big and you and you can see the farm animals around. Daniel and Connie are super friendly and available all the time to make our stay as pleasant as possible. I’ll definitely will return on summer!

Really nice place to stay and recharge the batteries. This range is perfectly located, great views! The owners are friendly and helpful. Our kids enjoyed a horse ride and the grown ups had fun kayaking. Overall I highly recommend this place!

A great escape from Vancouver during Covid. The kids enjoyed the horseback riding and kayaking. Stayed in the bear cabin which was absolutely beautiful inside. Watched a Silver Fox hunting gophers from our patio in the evening.
An amazing family, winter experience! We were welcomed with open arms by hosts Daniel and Connie. The log cabin we rented was more like a house and well appointed. It was clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed the authentic Swiss experience and food. The horses were friendly and gave our son more kisses than he bargained for. Our boy also enjoyed the playground. To top things off it was clear and sunny with lots of frost in the trees that made it feel magical. I'd consider coming back here in the winter with a group as our cabin had beds to spare. I look forward to visiting in the summer. Check this place out!
