I hadn't had Ethiopian food before and I am happy we chose Ensira to change that! Great delicious food full of flavour! The spices were so fragrant but not too hot spicy (at least for me). We went with a group of five and got five dishes from the menu. Then they serve all together in a big platter that you share with everyone. It was plenty of food, we could have gotten away with four dishes instead. Make sure to eat with your hands to enjoy the real experience! The restaurant itself is nothing fancy but it's clean. It could be a bit tricky to park though. Service was just OK for us, I wish we had more explanation about the food and how we were supposed to order it, but managed to ask what we wanted to know. Please note that if you don't like smoke like Sisha style maybe this is not a place for you. I don't know how this one is called, it's just something on the table that releases smoke with strong incense like smell. I was really bothered by this when we first came in. Luckily by the time the food arrived there was not much more smoke on that (it was on a another table).

Wow. Ensira is awesome, they feature a super warm atmosphere paired with great traditional food. The owners are very friendly, and made us feel like family. We were not sure what to order, so the owner helped us out tremendously. We will definitely be back! Thank you so very much for your hospitality!

This is a small, decent and humble place with great food. the service is friendly.Go for the food and experiencing what other cultures have to offer. Some options are spicy and yes you mainly eat with your hands and it's GREAT!

The waitress is really nice and welcoming she treats customers patiently. The food is really good!!! The kifto needs a little more work but it was delicious. Though, I enjoyed my first time very much, my only suggestion would be the song choices it's not bad but I would prefer someone singing not just classical music, it kind of makes you bored a little but over all it was a great place.

Best Ethiopian restaurant on 17th ave in my opinion. Been there many times and the food is just incredible. It's a simple and small place, nothing fancy about the seats but the food is really amazing. Reasonably priced too and the wait time isn't insane.

My best friend and I had lunch here today. Our server was the niece of the owner, and she was friendly and helpful. The food is terrific, prices are fair, nice decor, and appropriate regional music was playing. I would definitely recommend eating here!
