Booked an appointment in August - called a week prior to the visit to confirm the appointment and they told me they don't service gas fireplaces. I had made it explicitly clear I had a gas fire place when I booked 2 months ago. When speaking to admin she told me the notes for my appointment said \gas fireplace\...and yet they don't service gas fireplaces. How this was overlooked I don't know. With winter fast approaching its likely ill be waiting till the new year to have my fireplace inspected now. Would have been nice to have this info 2 months ago. If your using this company be sure its for wood stoves....

Just had a Regency CI2600 catalytic wood insert installed a week ago. Glad to say that our winter living is forever changed because of it. It is easy to use, quiet and efficient. It heats up our whole house quite easily. Chelsea Chimney offered a pretty good quote to start with. The owner came out twice to look at our fireplace. The installation took some effort to complete, as the opening of our fireplace was a bit tight for the unit, but the two guys who installed it worked really hard to get it done properly. They were resourceful, professional and friendly. I have been to the store several times before and after the installation, and have always been offered useful information. I am satisfied with my experience and would highly recommend the service of Chelsea Chimney to others.

Appointement booked for 11am december 4 2020. I show up a 10h45 at my home miss ½ a days work because i need and want to be there. Never shows up. I go to their store front witch is open according to there schedule, nobody there. Called about 13 times left 3 msgs never got a return. HORRIBLE customer service. I hesitated to book them because of the googles reviews well now its my turn to add to the list of unsatified customers. Stay away Update. Maybe you should mentioned that i was supposed to take the whole day off when i booked the appointement. What purpose is it to book a time. You had all my info and didnt even bother to call. I was home 20 minutes early from the appointement time. You did not stick around until the said appointement time of 11 ? Do you think that is good buisness. I stand by the fact that your service is poor and its backed by multiple low star reviews.

While no doubt the gentlemen knows his stuff as it concerns wood burning and installation, very poor client service. I did not feel like he was willing to listen nor interested in my business. Good for him if he's that busy he can't take time to really understand a client's needs. RESPONSE TO OWNERS RESPONSE: Pierre, no one insisted on keeping a 30 year old fireplace. In fact before you knew the age of the fireplace you immediately told me that you would not replace a chimney without the fireplace. I had very simply asked if it was necessary to replace a fireplace that seemed to be in good condition. If you had said for insurance purposes then yes that makes sense. But that was not your response, your response was I won't replace the chimney without the fireplace. No explanation provided. You were NOT polite in your way to respond to my question, in fact, you were very impatient. To finish your comment below suggesting that I am \ignorant\ about fireplace safety is a prime example of the client service approach I experienced from you when we spoke on the phone and when I visited in person. You are the expert and I was looking for advice and an explanation behind that advice. Boo-urns!
