From start to finish, this was a top notch experience! The staff were amazing; friendly, helpful, and always smiling. The food was always hot and delicious. The boat rides and day trip were great. The accomodations were clean and comfortable. We had amazing weather. Can't wait to return!

Wow... Food was amazing, what a feed! All the staff are so accommodating, such hospitality. You're not allowed to be hungry. Don't go here on a diet! The history here is so interesting. Entertainment is right on key for the history of Newfoundland. Simple lodging. Super clean. Leisure time, games and activities. Cod fishing offered if there's interest. I would definitely recommend and I would definitely go back.

Beautiful island getaway about a half hour boat ride from garden cove. You will see old history from pre resettlement and enjoy fun activities in day or night!
Woody Island is a fantastic place to get away from it all. From the moment you put your foot on the ferry until the moment you step back off the boat to return to the mainland, you set yourself up for a memorable escape from the everyday. The people are fantastic, the food is more than fantastic, and the rooms and houses are just like being in your own home 40 years ago. You feel like part of a big family rather than a guest in some Hotel. The food is Newfoundland cooking at its finest. Homemade bread, pea soup, fresh pan fried cod fish, potato turnip and carrot. Just like going home to Mom's for the weekend. You are free to explore the beautiful wooded Island on your own. There is a beautiful sandy beach for the summertime, and row boats to work off some of that good hearty eating you've been doing. It was my first time to Woody Island, but it will not be my last. If you need some time away to just cut yourself off and relax, this is the place to go.
I've been there at least 5 times over the years, and it just keeps getting better!! Will be booking again for next year!! The staff are incredible, and the food is the best!
Exactly what my soul needed!!! Woody Island bought back wonderful memories of growing up in rural Newfoundland. The food was Amazing!!! (As good as Nan’s), and the hospitality was beyond 5 stars. Woody Island was the highlight of our trip home.
Had an amazing time, could not have asked for nicer people. All the staff were so friendly and helpful in providing all the guests with the history of the island. The food was great, the rooms were clean. The trails were beautiful.Had an absolutely amazing time and can't wait to do it all again.
