Dr. Pal and her associates have been extremely service-oriented and intent on making sure that we are 110% satisfied. Everyone there is extremely personable, genuine, patient, and bends over backward to make you feel valued. After a recent regular check-up and finding I needed a new prescription for my glasses, I purchased some progressive lenses and new frames (and these folks give you great advice when picking frames!). I had the new glasses sent to me in the mail as it was during the pandemic and I was trying to avoid too many visits. However, even after allowing several weeks to adjust, I was still experiencing some issues with the clarity of vision from the lenses. When I called the office and spoke with one of Dr. Pal's associates, I explained the issue and described what I was experiencing (distance from the computer, what happens at different angles, etc.). After about 20 minutes of discussion, I was told that he would order new lenses for me. I was a bit skeptical about whether the new lenses would work out because this was all done over the phone! Yet, a couple weeks later I was told the lenses were ready and I made the trip in to pick them up. They were popped into my frames and I was absolutely amazed - they were PERFECT! And all this from a very patient person who was willing to listen to me, and ask the right questions. These people definitely know what they're doing, and are determined to make you happy....a great reason to choose them for your eye care.

I experienced great customer service while at Dr. Shalu Pal and Associates. Everyone was super friendly and professional. They abided by the COVID-19 regulations (e.g., wearing masks, social distancing) and I felt super safe while I was there. They helped me pick out glasses which were super stylish and outside of my general comfort zone. It was super fun trying on the different styles since, once again, they helped me get outside of my comfort zone... while also staying somewhat within it. I feel confident, comfortable and classy in my new glasses! Thanks so much to Sid and Dr. Blanc for helping me find the glasses that perfectly fit my needs! I highly suggest going to them if you're in need of a new pair of glasses and/or if you’ve experienced vision problems due to concussions.

I had a concussion last year and issues with my eyes and balance. A friend recommended I see Dr. Shirley Blanc, a neuro-optometrist. She specializes in post-concussion vision rehabilitation. Dr. Blanc is extremely knowledgeable, kind, friendly and very supportive. After an assessment with various tests, she provided a report and then vision therapy sessions. After every session, I would receive a written summary with exercises, very helpful! My symptoms decreased considerably, and her encouragement has been extremely valuable. Also, she prescribed reading glasses for the screen which have been great (there is a shop on the premises with a nice collection of frames, very convenient). On top of that, she recommended post-concussion specialists in other fields (e. g. audiology). All the staff at Dr. Shalu Pal & Associates are welcoming, very friendly and supportive. I also like that they invite all visitors to wash their hands at a sink (instead of more hand sanitizer). Thank you!

I have a very strong prescription and dr. Pal was recommended to me by a specialist. In the past other Doctors have found my eye issues to be very challenging and sometimes have not even been able to help me. She is very kind and listens to my needs first. She has also dealt with handling the 3rd party we order my special contacts from and has always been very communicative and empathetic.

I've been coming here for years and I'm feel like I'm treated like a family friend. They remember who you are and it genuine. The tech used is purposeful and the location is incredibly convenient at Bay station (it's reachable by underground from the station). I've had bad experiences with eye exams in the past and in all my time here, I've never had one here. This includes the dialation test! I trust Dr. Pal and her team with my care without question. Thanks to everyone on the team and a special shout out to Dr. Pal!
