Introduced self. Nicely enough. However, I don't feel comfortable with door-to-door canvassing in a pandemic. Should not have been here. Asked for a largish Donation, I said no, because I don't know them. Asked for a smaller donation, I said I might be willing... then told me afterwards that it was a monthly donation. I shut them down at that point..

Super aggressive canvasser. I offered a one time donation, pretty much to shut him up and get him off my doorstep. It's a nice cause, but they want you to sign up on a monthly plan on the spot. Ended up giving nothing.

Clearly another company just looking to scam you and the government as well. They had a booth set up in a local mall, one of the employees was a very creepy guy, and very pushy. You could see him make other people uncomfortable as well. A young lady was at the booth and he kept moving into her personal space as she uncomfortably backed away.

After reading other reviews, I am fortunate to say that my experience today was quite good. While tending to my pet outdoors, I was approached by two ladies. They made small talk about my parrot and then one of the ladies left, while the other began telling me about Plan International Canada. She introduced herself as Alexis and respectfully shook my hand getting my name as well. I asked her a series of questions about the organization, all of which she answered knowledgeably and with a smile. She did not rush me or badger me for my credit card info but instead took the time to show me that she cared for the “Because I Am A Girl” campaign. I was moved by her plea and signed up, after completing the process she did not rush off to try and obtain another donator. Rather she thanked me and answered all of my follow up questions. As such I would like to thank her, thank you Alexis for making the difference in another person’s life. It is because of people like you, who understand and care about other’s which makes the difference in this world.
