We represent the interests of the outdoor recreation community to government and industry, advocates for and facilitates access to public lands and waters for outdoor recreation, and fosters responsible use of BC's outdoors through education. We work on behalf of the interests of over 50 provincial and regional member groups, representing over 100,000 individuals, to protect the outdoor recreation way of life in BC, building bridges and providing forums for the exchange of views. Founded in 1976, the Outdoor Recreation Council is a research, education, and advocacy organization. The Council's members represent the full spectrum of land and water-based recreational activities across BC.
