I couldnt even stay there. The reception lady was so rude and just seemed not caring. Absolutely disgusting way of handing injured patients. I rather pay and get treated with respect than get free care but get treated like a criminal.

Caring staff. Average waiting times (which are to be expected.)

i was first person to arrive, got IDed and questioned and put in triage then sent to sit and wait. 8 others came in and got seen before me but did not have life threatening symptoms. The triage nurse was rude. . . . . next!

Awful service. Waited 6 hours with a high fever. Nurses are rude and sound angry all the time. Everything overall is a mess. Cannot tell me how long the wait is. Been asked for my name and then left me sitting there again multiple times. Doctor saw me briefly, i told him where my pain is and he brushed it off. Spent 6 hours of hell here.

Emergency patient: Took 8 hours in total. She went in with chest pain through to the back, legs unstable. She waited 6 hours to see a Dr and for an x-ray (doesn't drink alcohol). Pain got worse during the 6hr wait, was never offered a bed. Dr sent her out the door with no diagnosis, no extra tests, and in more pain than arrived (no ride offer, or pickup suggestion). I came to her twice during that day. Been here numerous times for loved ones. 2 times, person had open wounds - 1 for a broken arm, the other with a slashed hand. Both individual times they got treated quickly, 1 hour wait. My conclusion: go here if you have a broken bone or an open wound. DON'T go here for chest or body pain.

Very nice staff here but I tell yah....the emergency room has a very very long wait time. People go to emergency for colds.....hahahaha I guess a walk in clinic doesn't exist for them. This hospital actually won an award for best hospital in BC at one point in time. It's a small hospital with no trauma units. The average wait times in emergency depending on the day of week is approximately between 4 to 8 hrs or longer and also depending on the injury/illness.
