I've traveled extensively around the world and "Irise's House" is one of my favourites. Privacy for all guests is completely respected, something that is very important to me. Yet when you wanted to chat, you could easily find other guests or Iris to have great conversations with. There were special and unique gestures found at Irise's House that you don't see much of these days. Such as the bowl filled with loose change in case a guest needed money/coin, endless types of teas and treats for guests, daily handwritten notes with offers of rides to the ferries or the airport (during my stay, Iris was offering a free ride to the airport if any guests needed transport), to personalized "artwork" that titled certain items (see photos), which I later found out were thoughtfully done by her young daughter! Pets are also allowed and loved by this family and as an animal lover, knowing that warms my heart! :-) It was my pleasure to get to know Iris a bit during my stay and this genuine and hardworking mother is full of GRACE and shines with a such a BEAUTY WITHIN. Iris spoke of her family often with much love and devotion. And this, my fellow travelers, is what makes "Irise's House" DIFFERENT than her competition. She has such strong and positive family values that she passes on and shares with her guests, making us feel as though we are part of her family. Thank you for a wonderful stay, Iris. I’ll be back for sure!

I stayed here with my boyfriend for a nice summer escape. I’m so glad that I found this place. Definitely a gem in the neighbourhood. The place is easy to find and near commercial area. But what’s more convenient is that they offer an amazing breakfast coming on this cute little blue tray! I couldn’t say enough thanks about that. Totally sweet and warm. The backyard is so relaxing. And if you’re a smoker like my boyfriend, you don’t need to go out and find the spot. They kindly allow smoking in the lovely yard. That is such a bonus. I would definitely come again and recommend this place to friends.
I needed a break from everyday life, and I am sure glad I found "Irise’s House". This is one place that I would definitely recommend. This house is in a very quiet neighbourhood where all you can hear are the birds singing and the breeze rustling through the leaves of the trees and shrubbery of this property. BEDROOMS: The bedrooms have ceiling fans and are nicely set up with lovely bedding and decor. The smell of crisp, home-cleaned linens and towels sets this place apart from a regular hotel or inn. There was plenty of storage space, lighting, as well as black-out blinds that were really helpful for my Summer stay. I've attached a picture of my bedroom (sorry that the bed is a mess... that was me trying to make it tidy after waking up so that I could take a photo!). SECURITY: Each room had it's own lock and key, and you needed a special code to access the property as well. I felt very safe staying at Irise's House and parking my vehicle there as well. KITCHEN: The shared kitchen was a very special place! It was quite casual and the kitchen's atmosphere reminded me of other places that I stayed at around the world that I truly enjoyed. Here you could meet other guests if you chose to, which if you're in a social mood, can be quite nice to meet people from around the world! The kitchen was yours to use and there was room in the clean and tidy fridge for you to put your food or drink items in for later. Breakfast is presented each morning and you could grab whatever you wanted to eat at your leisure. There were also choices for vegetarians, which I appreciated very much. OUTDOOR SPACE: I've attached a few pictures of the outdoor space/patio which as you can see, is simply lovely and serene.It is so QUIET! I spent a lot of time on this patio because it was so peaceful, even having a nap. RECOMMEND: YES! My stay at “Irise’s House” was exactly what I needed and I was not disappointed!

It’s a nice B&B from a Chinese family. You feel like stay as friend in their home. There is shared Bathroom. You get your own key so you can come anytime. WiFi everywhere. Breakfast. Printer. Not far to the ferry or to USA Border. Nearby also nice shopping mall and big outdoor shops. The surrounding is private neighbourhood any houses. I came there by rental car but it seems there is also a good public Bus going there . They are helpful if you have any question. I just came from airport to there and it was easy to find with google maps. Enough parking space.
Amazing house ! The host is very nice, to beach by walk only five minutes. Especially, I love the wonderful breakfast.
Comfortable bed and delicious food. Host is very nice, great location, 10 minutes to ferry, and pets friendly, my cat likes this house so much.
What a fantastic place to stay. Very homely and welcoming. The host is absolutely fantastic and goes over and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. 10/10 and I will definitely be staying here again if I am in the area. Thank you guys for making my stay so lovely.
