We ended up calling them again this year for a furnace/air conditioning servicing. At that time we were told that we were on their DO NOT SERVICE list. This was all due to the fact that last year when they were here the guy they sent did not do what he wrote on the paperwork, leaving us to finish the job. Then we were charged higher then the quoted price. So we got on the phone and fought for our rights regarding what was quoted and what we paid. We did get it rectified. And now we are listed as \do not service\ because we stuck up for our rights. They should be \DO NOT CALL\, as you are not told the complete truthful information before they come to service your furnace. Just letting people know!

Very unprofessional. The estimate and quotations changed four times without explanation so I ended up using a different provider. I therefore can not comment on the service, but the pre-sales/sales experience did not inspire confidence. Also, interesting to note that the bulk of 5-star reviews are from the Reitzel family. That says volumes.

Called Reitzel for a exhaust fan replacement for furnace, only because the previous home owners had the furnace and AC was installed with them. Instead of a being provided with the service of having my exhaust fan replaced, I was served with an infraction notice for my heat exchanger. The service tech spun the motor, confirmed that we needed a replacement and proceeded to look through a one inch hole and tell us that the heat exchanger is deterioating. He also told us that the motor for the fan was hard to get ahold of and was unsure if he could even get one (contrary to what I found out from a local store who regularly keeps them in stock). He left stating that he would check the shop for an old motor and if we didn’t get a call that meant they didn’t have one. We felt backed into a corner with no option but to get a new furnace which quoted from them would be 4000-6000 not including HST. So on December 22 just a few days before Christmas, our family (two small children 2 and 4), were left with no heat and simply the promise of a phone call from the sales manager for a new furnace, and an infraction notice stating that we have 60 days to replace the heat exchanger (an approximate 1500 cost) and a 220 bill. When sharing our story with family, friends and another HVAC company, everyone is always shocked by the way we were treated. Thanks to the other HVAC company for their quick and friendly service and 10 year warranties! We learned our lesson! Check the reviews FIRST! Looks like some people have been burned also.

Very unprofessional. Contacted these folks for a quote to convert baseboard electric to natural gas. I told them upfront it would be a complex job. A rep came, drew diagrams etc. Said they would put together a quote at the office. Days past still no quote, emailed the representative no response. Seems like these folks could not handle the conversion. What irks me is that they don't even respond. Ended up using another supplier.
