The quality and flavour of the food was great, good atmosphere and attentive service. There wasn't a wait to get in (weekend brunch), so that's always a plus. However, the quantity of food is much less than I can get elsewhere (like Spoons) for more money. I missed the option for 'Build your own omelete too. I'd return again if I was in the area, but there are better priced options around.

We recently bought a house in Fairfield. There were many reasons this happened, but I would say one of the deciding factors was to live closer to Heron Rock to eat chicken and waffles. Every time we visit Victoria, we have a wonderful brunch at this gem of a restaurant. I'm gonna be honest, I'm not a big C&W kinda gal, but once you've experienced this dark meat extravaganza in your mouth, you can't undo that experience. Pair her with a Manmosa and it really kicks off your day. Last weekend on November 28th, 2020 my husband and I got a wonderful table near the front door. Historically, we are here with friends but... well Covid. Anyway, we came for brunch while we waited to gain possession of our first home. I have a very vivid memory of my husband tearing up for his excitement of this next chapter of our life. He may also have been emotional for the delicious home made hot sauce and syrupy goodness of the meal to come, but none-the-less the memory was made. Thanks for always making delicious food and creating memories for me. I suppose I should branch out and try happy hour or dinner, but when we move over to the island there will be tons of time for that :) Shout out to the old couple behind us that was crushing red wine at 11am.
