Recently had a dinner for 12 people and was very impressed. Excellent service and great new menu with a few of the old favourites from the previous owners. New decor and lighting, perfect for a quiet evening or celebration. One of the top 5 restaurants in Thunder Bay.

The new lunch and dinner menu are fantastic, and the new renovations add to Bistro One's charm as a local hot spot. The service at Bistro is great, fantastic cocktails and wine recommendations, excellent chefs, and knowledgeable staff.
Sauteed Sea Scallops scallops in any capacity are delicious to begin with, so I felt that this dish didn't do \fine dining\ justice. While the glazed sauce was a unique flavour, I felt that it didn't complement the scallops as well as it could have. The scallops were large, but they weren't exceptionally juicy or tender.
If you are looking for a quiet, upscale place to enjoy a great meal, this is the place. Spotlessly clean, safety protocols in place, and friendly service along with delicious food make this the perfect place to go if you need to get out of the house for a sanity break!!
I had a business lunch here and it was very good. The seafood chowder appetizer was delicious and could have been a meal in itself, but we also tried the grilled cheese with a warm tomato salad and it was great for a cold winter day. We also had some chocolate mousse and the flavours were fantastic. The staff were very friendly and gave some helpful advice. I would definitely recommend you give them a try for lunch.
