Excellent. Booked on open table. Zero fuss. Arrived early and they were able to seat us immediately. Service is attentive without hovering. Food is delicious and beautiful and the price point very reasonable. Sat on a covered and heated patio and the vibe was cozy, cool, and fun. Just caught the end of happy hour and had some great items and drinks on it. Will absolutely go back.

I'm in love with sushi, let's make that clear at the very beginning. So I have tried many sushi places in Vancouver (and in the world really). It was my first time in Sakana Bistro, for some reason, and I LOVED it. The whole experience was unique. From their cute setting to their delightful staff, I felt special being in their establishment. The food was tasty and of high quality ingredients and pleasantly presented. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Vasilios Soursos

We just had a 5pm reservation that was booked through OpenTable and I can honestly say that our meal was flawless and the service was incredible! Between two of us we shared a Dynamite Roll, Tuna Tataki, Sockeye Salmon Aburi, and the Softshell Crab Tempura. Everything was so fresh and really, really tasty. I would absolutely come back in a heartbeat!

A longstanding local fave of mine for sushi / sashimi / Japanese for many years now. Always great quality, attention to detail and friendly attentive staff. I like to bring out of town friends here, and it has become a favourite spot for some, every time they return to Vancouver. Relaxed informal vibe and nice patio as a bonus. Great value compared to much of the high-end competition. I mostly go for lunch, but also enjoy the expanded / fancier menu for dinner on occasion.

Fish quality: 10/10 Rice: 8/10 Location: 10/10 Atmosphere: 9/10 Service: 10/10 Super fresh sashimi and sushi rolls were great they put minimal amount of rice which make it even better.. The sashimi salad was great the service was amazing! Would love to see more choices in the menu
