Relaxing place for a perfect light lunch on a Sunday, after all the big feast in the weekend. Authentic udon, simple and plain udon with homemade fish broth. So satisfying. Well-done tempura too!

Udon is not something I usually go for as I don't really care so much for thick noodles. But my friends convinced me to give it a try. So I ordered udon with a light broth and fish cakes and tofu. I wanted something light to balance the otherwise dense, thick noodles. It did the trick. The broth was very light. I ended up adding a dash of the Japanese chilli to enhance the flavour. The fish cakes were good - they are the round flowery shape with a red swirly line design in the picture I posted. My favourite part of this dish was tofu. The udon was soft to chew, but not too soft, which I like. When i was there, there was no air conditioner. Should be fixed within the next few weeks. The staff was warm and friendly. They were efficient and my bowl of udon came pretty fast. I would like to go back to try other dishes as they have different kinds such as hot as well as cold udons.

Got the signature cold Udon and C4 Tendon. We loved both! The cold Udon is perfect for a bit summer’s day. When you mix the Udon well it’s not too salty. The Tendon was delicious and flavourful.

Udon and the broth is the way I like it, not too salty. I personally would love to see a unique dish, or a dish that really opens up my appetite.

We were there for soft opening on Saturday and half the menu was not offered which was disappointing because we wanted to try the Tempura. We got the chicken on rice (item 10 I think), the meat/marinade was very salty. We also got the beef sukiyaki udon (item #3) and the broth was flavorless. Very unimpressed with the quality of food and we will not be returning.

Came here on Sunday and we ordered a kitanoya cold gyu suki udon and a gyu don. Overall the food was okay nothing too spectacular as I found the gyu don a little bland compared to other gyu dons I've tasted. Price of the food was okay with dishes between 10 to 15 dollars. The asthetics and the staff were awesome though so that's a good plus. I would probably come back again next time to try their hot udon if I am in the area.

FINALLY a restaurant that SPECIALIZES in UDON!!! What makes a good udon is the soup. I ordered the Niku udon, from the first sip of the soup it's clear how fresh and natural the ingredients were. At first impression when you get the Niku udon, it may look very simple, however it's extremely flavorful as the broth brings out the flavour of the beef and compliments each ingredient nicely. The texture of the chilled udon was very chewy giving it the perfect combination with the soft egg and beef. The light soy base made it sweet and fresh. Would make a very satisfying meal for anytime of day! Service (5/5): The staff here are friendly. It is good that they ask customers on how their dishes are and refill tea as needed. The food did not take long to come. Price (): For a decent amount of Udon, based on the amount of food in the bowl and the quality, it is relatively on the cheap side. Both of these dishes cost 12 Overall, I am very glad Toronto now has a place that specializes in udon. Will comeback again for sure. Definitely recommend to friends and family!

Honestly, I know this place is newer but some kinks should have been worked out prior to opening. Half the menu was unavailable today at about 1:00, no curries and no rice. The shop layout is a bit awkward, we sat at the front long table and the server had to (or chose to) put the other customers food, who sitting further into the table, in front of us while she moved around us to place their food. The layout is just not good. The portion size was also quite small for what we got. We’ve had bigger portions elsewhere in the city for the same price. The flavour was good, but also pretty hard to mess up. The staff was friendly but appeared to lack training or direction. We ordered and then we were asked by another server if we had already ordered. I don’t know if it’s lack of training, management or communication but some work needs to be done here for sure. Overall, would we come back? Sadly, probably not.
