Bateman bike store is one of my favorite bike stores in Toronto. The online shopping experience so far has been perfect. I find the shop website to be well built and intuitive. Service over the phone regarding my orders has been very helpful. On one event they allowed me to switch a helmet's color after I ordered it with no problem. Just recently, Bateman's built up a custom gravel bike for me. Mike spent a lot of time with me in person and through email to nail down all of the components of the bike. He helped me to navigate the difficult waters of budget versus component level. All of the parts were acquired in relatively short order, especially considering supply chain problems during Covid-19. The mechanics did a great job putting the bike together and it sure rides smooth. Another perk of shopping at Bateman's is that they have parking - which is a rarity in downtown.

Because the store was closed (covid), I emailed them to see if they had any Yuba cargo bikes in stock that I could gift my wife for Mother's Day. The owner, Rob, got back to me right away -- and then custom built a bike for her in two days! Then when I got to the store to pick it up, I realized the bike was too long to fit in my van. So he RODE THE BIKE TO MY HOUSE for me. If that's not the best customer service in Toronto, I don't know what is. The bike is awesome. My wife loves it. My kids love it. And I know if anything ever goes wrong with it, Rob will take care of it, no fuss. A

I have shopped at Bateman's both in store and online and have always been very happy with their service and effort to find me the best product for my needs. Most recently they special ordered a set of uncommon mountain bike tires for me that they did not have in stock. They were happy to track them down with a supplier, and placed the order within a day. Once they arrived at the store, they shipped them to my house really quickly too. Thanks Bateman's!

If you're looking for a knowledgeable, customer / results focused Team, Bateman's is the place to go. Zero pressure or sales tactics like I've experienced in other bike shops. Mike and Kris are fantastic and always make sure, no matter what the issue I am having with my bike, that I have my bike back, ready-to-ride for planned rides. They make knowledgeable recommendations for upgrades and present options that solve your issues or work alongside progressional goals. I'm a stiltdance artist and ride my bike to get to rehearsals and gigs (haha! just kidding those are non-existent right now!). My pack is quite heavy with all the necessary gear so having a solid safe ride is pretty important to me. Toronto roads are pretty horrendous and I don't have shocks. I waited for about a year and then just couldn't take it anymore. I had to get a new saddle. Bateman's set me up in hours. I ordered my saddle online in the morning and it was delivered by courier in the afternoon. I am so happy with my purchase and with the service I received. My ride to the studio now is significantly smoother. Thank you!! Highly recommend.
