Very nice fusion Japanese restaurant on Ossington. We were seated outdoors right outside the restaurant. There were 2 other tables, 4 seats each. Ordered the following for dinner: Nikujaga,which is a traditional Japanese-style beef stew with sliced wagyu beef and vegetables in a sweet, umami-rich broth. Shrimp toast was amazing, ebi mayo, fried prawn in special mild spicy mayo, seaweed salad, and a sushi and sashimi dish. Service was great and attentive, they were not too busy for a Thursday night in early September. Highly recommended.

I admire this spot! They give splendid food, their menu is decent, The cook in that spot is a real authority in the kitchen, I like very much trying all their dishes. The food is consistently fresh, the attitude towards the clients is good. I often go to this place and I not even once was unsatisfied. I recommend it to all my friends.

This restaurant was my kick-start of many Winterlicious restaurant. The Shozan Room came to my radar just reading their menu. The commute was worth it going for this place. Overall the experience was incredible especially the main entree's. The seafood hot pot is definitely I would recommended. A variety of premium shell fish, from oysters to clams. The broth was incredible, and perfect for this winter.
Absolutely fantastic experience at this small and narrow Japanese bar/restaurant. Serves small Izikaya style dishes all of which really hit the mark. Braised short rib was fall of the bone. The spicy tempura shrimp was tasty and the chicken wings really hit the mark. Great selection of sushi rolls and signature sashimi. Very decently priced as well. Fantastic decor and the bathrooms are one of the cleanest I’ve seen yet. Great addition to Ossington.
Great ramen for take-out. Easy to order online.One of our favourite places in 2020. We strongly recommend Bar Shozan.
The quality of the food is very high, the service is always prompt and friendly, and it's a small local business that I enjoy supporting.
