I had a lovely experience at Hot Pot King. Upon waking in you'll notice the place is quite humid, which was nice for a chilly evening. Though the place a little pricier than I had expected, I thought it was worth it. Everyone gets an individual pot so you can make your food to your liking (and it means you can dine with vegetarians without worrying!) I was also impressed by their little make your own sauce station. The menu offers plenty of options and service was very quick and minimalistic. Overall, a nice experience, with a sweet soft serve ice cream finish.

Very helpful staff. We had the lunch time all you can eat. We went in knowing nothing about hot pots and the employees walked us though everything, gave suggestions and even brought out dishes for us to try. Loved the food and it turned out to be a very fun experience
When we arrived, we were very hungry, so we ordered a lot of food. But they served very fast. The tomato soup was very delicious, when we finished the meal, the server was also very friendly and asked us if we needed some ice cream. This place is really good.
Really fun experience! Everyone gets to pick one broth that continuously boils at the table (you control your own temp settings) , and then you get to choose endless items to cook in it. It varies from different raw meats(lamb and beef) to seafood, vegetables, dumplings, noodles, tofu and many other foods. It's something that can't necessarily be rushed so don't try to cram it in before a movie or event. I chose the tomato broth and it was so flavourful. You can also add spice to any of the broths, and they have dip for the meat. The price was very fair for what we received as well as competitive for an all you can eat place. The atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing. The staff were so kind and walked us through the whole process as this was our first time visiting. Definitely ideal for a medium group (4-8 people) but for larger it may get a bit hectic. Do be careful though, because they advertise on their ordering iPads that you will be charged 20.00 per 200g of food you waste at the end. Be mindful when ordering the food that you're able to finish it all. Will definitely be visiting again!!

Hot pot is good. The price compared to options available seems a little high. However, overall can’t complain because there aren’t a lot of hotpot places in St. Catharines
Everything about this place is amazing! We have good hot pot in San Diego, CA, but this place takes it to another level. The food is super fresh & flavorful. They have a great selection of meats, veggies, and other yummy items (some they make from scratch). The soup bases are also very flavorful which is important since that's what you're cooking all you food in. The staff deserves a 10/10! The woman who sat us was very informative on how everything worked and was very kind. All of the employees helped EVERY table with bringing food to your table as well as picking up empty plates. Which meant you get your food really fast, and there was always room on the table since they were always grabbing the empty plates. They all worked very well together, helping each other and making sure every table always had what they needed. Two things that are very cool about this place is you order all you food and drinks from an iPad (this makes everything soooo much faster) and you get your own individual pot to cook your food in (most hot pots are usually one pot for the whole table). Overall my wife and I had an amazing experience eating here and it was well worth the money. This place does so many things right that it all adds up to one great experience!
