Although a bit of a commute from West Vancouver, however, there were others in the course from as far a Haida Gwaii, so little to complain about. The school is easily accessible by public transport and or car. I took three courses this past week in preparation to be a fishing guide at Langara Fishing Lodge this summer; the SVOP , VHS-DSC and MED A3. Five days straight 8:30 - 5:00 plus commute time. The instructor Patrice Dufor was awesome, and the week just flew! Must be his wealth of experince on the waters of the West Coast that made it really easy to understand key concepts and what being safe on the water really means. Mr. Dufor is entertaining (has lots of short video clips to illustrate what not to do), and covered the required materials in such a way that it made it enjoyable. Great courses; learned all the basics and then some! Most importantly, the knowledge of how to make guiding this summer safe for everyone.
