I went to Hakim to order a new set of glasses. I had sent the store manager types of glasses I had liked previously and when I came she had numerous pairs that were similar to what I like set up and ready for me to try. She helped me pick out the ones that were best for my small face. She was very good with telling me how much they were going to cost ahead of time as well. She showed me designer frames and general frame so that I could get a idea of pricing. Overall they're very helpful and I will definitely be going back to them again for frames in the future!

Attempted to enter the store only to be told they were not taking anyone inside without an appointment. There was literally one other customer in the store and was willing to spend up to a grand on new glasses there, totally disappointed that even with just one client in the store at a mall I was turned away I understand its covid time but there are other ways to not have to turn away potential clients there was no apology or anything just told the lady at the door it was their loss and indeed it was bad experience to start with wouldn't want to really visit another Hakim optical in case i get turned away again without an appointment pretty sad when they could have had another approach to handle walk ins also could have offered to set up an appointment with me but that was not offered also for that reason 1 star.

Service here goes above and beyond what I would expect from optometrists. I have been a customer with hakim for years and the service you get from the pickering location is simply unmatched anywhere else. Whenever I needed to fix my glasses or was looking to get a new prescription/frames they have always made the experience a pleasant one. Even with the pandemic going on, they have an environment thats safe for all their customers to shop in during this time. Highly suggest them out of anywhere in Durham Region.

Booked an appointment with Brittany at Hakim Optical Pickering Town Centre. It was my first time getting glasses so I wanted to have a very thorough search at this location. They had an amazing selection of glasses and sunglasses frames for me to look at in-store. Covid protocols were explained and I was given a specific spot at the desk to view my glasses and was informed that all the glasses tried on were going to be sanitized and cleaned before putting them back out for others to view. I wasn't rushed through the procedure and I had the area to myself. I was explained to that some glasses were "designer" and some were Hakim Optical brand, and that the prices would vary based off of that. Brittany helped me find a pair of glasses that were covered by my benefit plan and I learned a lot about glasses and frames and brands. I am extremely happy with the service at Hakim Optical. I am confused at other reviews at this location because people should know covid protocols are set to protect customers and employees and should not be blaming the business for this. I received great service and you should review it based off of the company not based off of covid and pricing.

Yes went there yesterday with my wife both of us to buy new glasses I was assisted by the store manager according to her coat after looking through several frames picked out 2 I wanted she priced tgen and they were 80 dollars over my limit and she WOULD NIT BUDFE on peice so I went to Pearl bought the same frames and glasses almost 100 dollars cheaper so they blew a 1000 dollar sale guess during this pandemic that are doing very well I will never give them my business again huge FAIL !
