Awesome service! I popped a lens out of my glasses and called around to a couple places in town to see about getting them fixed. Was told told by another place that I would have to book an upcoming appointment to even see if they could fix them since I didn’t buy them there. Then called Towne Optical and was told to bring them in to pop the lens in for free! The woman who I spoke to cleaned and tightened my glasses as well as popping in the lens for no charge. Very friendly as well! I will definitely be going back.

You will never be disappointed by visiting Bill, owner of Towne Optical on the Queensway in Peterborough. I had the humble privilege of meeting him earlier this year, by appointment, to repair my glasses that I accidentally knelt on. The place where I purchased my glasses were not operating at that time and recommended Towne Optical. After sending a few photos, Bill was confident that he could repair them and he did. He did a marvellous job and the frames are probably stronger than from the manufacturer because of the repair. He also touched up the paint to give them a polished look. I was very happy with them. My frames recently needed to be tightened again and I chose to contact Bill once more. Again he was willing to see me right away. The reason I chose to go back to Towne Optical was because at least once per month I would need to go back to where I purchased my glasses to get them tightened. When Bill fixed my frames the first time they lasted almost an entire year! Bottom line, he does it better than anyone else. He explained that when you purchase a pair of glass from Towne Optical, you get free expert, quality service for life. Thank you Bill and the team at Towne Optical for taking such good care of your customers.

Bill, Melissa, and Co. seem to really know their stuff. My partner and I brought in two pairs of vintage glasses (one from the 1970, and one from 1930) for small repairs and they were able to repair them and provide us with ample information about the frames. They repaired them on the spot and were so friendly during this stressful covid time! Thanks Bill

What an outstanding service! Highly recommended optometrist; very compassionate, caring, and professional. I had the blessing to meet with Bill at Towne Optical during this pandemic, my glasses had been lost for quite some time and Bill found out my prescription, had me come into the shop and within less than hour I had lenses put into brand new frames. Highly recommend Towne Optical for quality professional service. I am extremely pleased with my new frames. I broke mine during the COVID Pandemic and Bill ensured that I didn’t go home without. My glasses are most essential to me. I truly appreciate how Bill went out of his way to find a pair of reasonably priced frames to fit my lenses and had them repaired in record time!
In the middle of Covid-19 restrictions, my daughter's glasses broke and needed to be repaired. I was fortunate to reach Bill on the phone who told me to come right over. He took every precaution to maintain physical distance, meeting me in the parking lot and taking the glasses into the store to examine them. He was able to make the repair while I waited and in 30 minutes I was on my way with my daughter's glasses. Thanks Bill!
