Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff! We live in the neighbourhood and I was always hesitant about checking them out because I assumed it would be expensive, but their prices are affordable. One day we were in a rush and needed to grab a bag of food quickly so we ran in, watched a bunny play basketball, found perfect food for our dogs (that they both love), and we’ve been loyal customers ever since!
I am very upset about my interaction today with this store. I was turned away because of the breed of my dog and groomer asking for a letter from a vet saying it was OK to shave my 14 yr old husky dog. I have been shaving her for years every summer and once before at this shop! She loves being shaved and it has not adversely affected her, she is an old dog and enjoys being \light\. I know the recommendations of not shaving a 2 coated dog and this is why I was clear what kind of dog it was and that I was regularly shaving her BEFORE I scheduled the appointment. I clearly stated that the dog I was bringing in was a husky and that I wanted her shaved, not brushed at the time I booked. I booked time off work at the hospital (where it is not easy to get time off at the moment) to bring her in. On top of all of that, groomer suggested booking with her regular groomer instead. I had an appointment with that groomer 3 weeks from today, that I cancelled because I got an appointment with this shop instead! Now her regular groomers wait list is September! Kind of missing the point of shaving her by sept! I have frequented this store over the years and am surprised that this is acceptable practice. I will not be going back.
My absolute favourite pet store. Small with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good quality product. A small grooming space by the entrance with a very gentle groomer, pets seem to love her. Highly recommend this gem.
By far my favorite pet store in the city. Danielle and her rabbits are always a treat to visit, the groomers are extremely knowledgeable and great at what they do. Petacular also has the biggest small animal collection I think I've ever seen at a pet store!! Highly recommend!
