I KNOW THIS SOUNDS VERY WEIRD BUT I LOVED THE TIME I STAYED AT THE LIGHTHOUSE. THE STAFF WAS SO NICE AND FRIENDLY. THEY HELPED MY SON AND I SO SO MUCH WITH GETTING AN APT.. I DON'T NO WHAT I WOULD HAVE DONE WITHOUT THEM AND ALL THEIR HELP.. I WILL CONTINUE TO VISIT THE LIGHTHOUSE ON WED NIGHT FOR GROUP AND CHURCH... ALL I CAN SAY IS THANK YOU TOO ALL THE STAFF AT THE LIGHTHOUSE.... love you for your help and kindness... hope to visit soon Thank you so much from Eve &jesse

Currently a resident as I cannot go back to my apartment that I've lived in with my father. This place welcomes you with open arms. The staff here are very helpful and fair when it comes to your basic needs.

My friend is homeless, thank goodness there is a shelter in the community.

It was better than other shelters however the staff treat you like you're guilty of a crime. They shoot first and ask questions later. But it's a healthier place than some other shelters. So just ignore the comments the staff make and move forward. I was there and found a place in two days. You can do it if you just do it. They also help you by giving you a start up if you need it for first and last. I suggest going here because you need to get your feet on the ground, this shelter people rarely get robbed or beaten. So given that, I would suggest this shelter.
