We took our bike tire in to have a tube changed out and a new tube put in. When I brought the tire back home and went to install the wheel on the bike, the directionality of the rubber was incorrect. When I called and told this to the service person, no accountability was taken by the shop. If this was, in fact the case, a good service person would have identified that the rubber was on backwards and switched it around before giving the wheel back. No apologies were offered, only a \bring it back in and we'll fix it\. Add to that the price for a tube and service, I will likely not be bringing my bike here again, nor will I be recommending this place to anyone.

I'd had been searching for a 14mm fine mesh bolt for a SuperCool Freestyle Frame that found me.. Stop by once but the Gear Boss want there that Day.. But, this day I was Lucky to become acquainted with this Seemingly Kindred humanoid..

Helped me assemble my bike with solid advice. Recommend to anyone in Niagara Falls. There's no other bike shops in the falls so this is the place to go.

5 days ago I cycled on my road bike from Toronto to Niagara Falls. I planned on riding back the following morning but just as I was leaving my hotel I noticed the rear tire was completely flat. “Fortunately”when I looked on line I found this repair shop listed , opening at 10am. In view of COVID - 19 I felt very lucky that it was even open. They were very prompt and by 10:20am I was out the door all set to go. The rear tube was replaced; as well because my tires looked to be very worn, they replaced both tires (though I wasn’t having any issues with the front one, I thought I certainly didn’t want another flat tire on the way home). This is when the problems began. Before I could get even onto the bike I noticed they had left the chain jammed between the smallest sprocket and the frame. Not a big deal - they had it back in place quickly. So off I went - but within 60 seconds I heard a loud “bang” and my rear tire immediately went flat. After walking the bike back to the shop they looked at it. Initially the guy who repaired it said the spoke must have gone through the inner tube. But the more experienced one said, no, it’s probably that “one in a hundred” inner tube that was manufactured with a defect. I pointed out it seemed the most likely explanation for the blowout was exactly what once happened to me when I tried to change a flat - the inner tube got pinched between the tire and the rim with a similar almost immediate “bang”! So by 11 am I was off again. I did make it home, although not without the chain coming off 3 times - something that was never an issue prior to the repair. I didn’t take my bike out again until this morning. When I noticed that now the front tire was almost completely flat! And to think I actually paid for all this aggravation! In retrospect I wish I’d never discovered this shop and just taken my bike on the bus back to Toronto and had the job done by competent bicycle repair people !
