I really hate writing negative reviews but unfortunately our experience with this business has not been positive. I bought a spin bike from Flaman's at the end of October and was initially super happy with it. However, not even a month into owning the bike I noticed it had started making a horrible sqeaking sound when I pedaled. My husband and I recognized it would be challenging to have someone come look at it with the current pandemic restrictions, so we have attempted to fix it ourselves via YouTube and other resources with no success. The squeak is so pronounced that it takes all of the enjoyment out of my workouts and I'm worried I might be damaging the bike. In a last ditch effort we called Flaman's to see what could be done. We were told that our only option would be to bring the fully assembled, 150lb bike in for servicing as they don't generally do housecalls (which they should know is not an option for us as we paid a delivery fee on top of the price of the bike...). When we pointed out that it makes more sense to bring the tools necessary for the repair to the bike instead of vice versa, we were told that we could "open the bike and fix it ourselves". This was obviously super disappointing for me to hear, especially considering I paid nearly 2000 for this bike and it developed an issue within less than a month of me owning it. I understand that they are facing certain constraints because of the pandemic, but it honestly feels super unethical to accept people's money and not have a plan in place should a customer need support. It was important to us to support a local business, especially in light of the hardships businesses have faced due to the pandemic, but our entire experience with Flaman's has left us feeling very disappointed. We won't be giving them our business again.
