My experience with Les Affûtés is an excellent one. The staff are very nice, they know their stuff well and they get out of their way to answer your question or help you with what you need. The workshop is well-equipped, however keep in mind that some items like sanding discs for example have to be purchased on-site for sanding your projects. And finally, you gotta love their mission of growing the community of 'makers' and people who fix things, as well as their promotion of urban-lumber use. Thumbs up..

What a perfect way of spending a Sunday morning: Building my own skate-board, from scratch, with no previous knowledge required. The place is really nice, the explaination were clear and not overwhelming. PV the animator has a really cool energy that makes you feel you can do it, by yourself. After 3 hours, I have my own wooden skateboard (that I am obviously super proud of) but, most of all, I had fun using all those machines and learning new skills. I will definitely come back to learn how to use all the machines autonomously to build my own projects.
It's amazing to have a place with the tools and staff to help you achieve your vision. It's a great substitution for not having a garage with tools when you live in a condo!

J'ai construit une superbe jardinière de cèdre en 3 heures. Jamais cru que ce serait possible ! Mais les explications de Quentin étaient tellement claires et le design vraiment bien pensé, que n'importe quel débutant pouvait couper, coller, clouer et finalement réussir à assembler, cette magnifique jardinière en si peu de temps. Merci encore Les Affûtés !
Beaucoup de plaisir avec Fabienne qui nous a montré comment faire un panier à fruits - et tout le monde est reparti avec un très joli panier (tous étaient différents!), créé avec tout ce qu'il faut côté matériel fourni et conseils de la prof, extrêmement compétente et attentive à tous. Je l'aime bien, mon petit panier rouge :)
Super endroit avec de super gens. Très gratifiant de créer un vêtement en quelques heures et d'apprendre les bases de la couture. Léa est une super guide, stimulante, dynamique, qui sait expliquer et qui aime la couture et l'enseigner. Ça n'a pas de prix quand on débute ! Ça donne envie de continuer et de faire plein d'autres ateliers, pas seulement en couture! De belles activités à offrir et découvrir
Une place incroyable, des outils de qualités, bel endroit de création, je souhaite que ça soit ma deuxième maison, trop hâte d’y retourner et fabriquer d’autres éléments.
