**Update: the Customer service manager for Thunder Bay called me and was very apologetic. She was extremely professional and she explained the steps that are being taken to prevent this problem in the future. Really impressed with the way this was handled from a feedback/customer service standpoint! Lifelabs told me at the time of my appointment that they did not receive the requisition my doctor’s office sent, and asked me to call the office to have them resend it. When I spoke with my doctor’s office they confirmed that they had sent the requisition 2 weeks prior, and they sent it for a second time while I waited. I heard the same thing happen to two other patients while I was on hold with my doctor’s office. It is now one hour after my scheduled appointment time at Lifelabs, and I still have not gotten my blood taken due to their mistake. Clearly their system for receiving and filing requisitions needs to be evaluated and improved.

We book appointment in advance and they told me it take only 15 min. I waited more than one hour.

i take my Mom there frequently. Fortunately, im able to book appointment on line. We've never waited more than 5 minutes. On another note, my husband had a scheduled echo. Never had one before, so didnt know what to expect. had a very, non communicative attendant, who when echo completed, grabbed ALL lines together, and yanked them off at one time. not impressed! sent an email to HO. never did get a response back. this incident was very unimpressive.

I came in with an urgent test for an application and they posted the results before the end of the day. The technician was also very nice and understanding. It made a difficult time a little easier.

I'm currently sitting in the waiting room. My mother was a walk in patient. We were told 15 minutes. I've been waiting for a solid hour for her to be done.

They try to make it a good place, but the environment leaves much for improvement. There are cheap seats to wait in where you can hear everything that is being said by the patient checking in with reception. The washrooms are not maintained throughout the day and I chose to use the public washroom by the elevator because that one is serviced by the building staff throughout the day. They have stopped asking if I'd like to get my results online. Posters on walls are often torn and curling. Signage for where to put samples is confusing. While waiting I saw several people look confused about where to leave their urine sample.
