We had the most magical experience last night at Lapinou's patio. Their patio is very romantic and intimate, wedged between two brick buildings with string lights above, cushioned loveseats, and heart shaped chairs. Our server Kelly was incredible and made it feel like a fine dining experience. They were so attentive, quick, personable, and was a pleasure to meet! The food was excellent. Everything was fresh tasting, plated so beautifully (thank-you kitchen staff), and we would be more than happy to return. I hope everyone gets a chance to dine at Lapinou, or even get some takeout from here - you will not regret it. Thanks again Kelly, you are the very best!

Outdoor seating was very well done, not cold at all. Nice ambiance and nice waiters.

We loved this place ! It was just so wonderful. The food was great , a bit pricy but given the quality it was worthy of its prices . Our service was professional. Quick and courteous. The seating , was outside , given Covid situation worked out perfectly. Great experience, highly recommend. I would strongly suggest booking in advance .

Great date night spot, amazing atmosphere... the menu now is a challenge. I’m a big believer in simplicity. The bread was the secret this restaurant has to offer, it’s to die for good! I had the ham plate.. was like a ham and cheddar sandwich but dismantled. That was delightful, for the main I had the steak.. very disappointed in the portion! It was sous vide.. tasted great but honestly for what your paying for the steak was 3 slices ? I appreciated the chef(s) effort as everything tasted great and looked amazing “ big up to the chef(s)” but I left the restaurant hungry... will definitely go again but will be for drinks and a light bite. Good luck!

Food is great and wines are great! I'm not a huge wine fan so I had hard time choosing it, but the staff was extremely nice about it and helped me to choose a great pair with my food

Definitely a little expensive for the quantity, the food is well prepared and tasty, presentation is also aesthetically pleasing. Their patio is small but quiet and charming!

Was looking forward to trying this spot out, I regularly walked past it and have always found the patio setup to be extremely appealing. It is a very cute, quaint and cozy set up, well heated and a lovely layout. We were greeted and served by Kelly, who provided nothing short of a perfect experience. It's always refreshing when the server provides tremendous knowledge of the menu, and prompt yet elegant service. We started with the Beef tartare, absolutely delicious and objectively the best I've had in the city. My main was the chicken dish, an extremely fresh, juicy and high quality cut of poultry sided with delicious veggies. I never really my enjoyed veggies.... until today. We sided our meal with a bottle of red suggested by Kelly. It was incredibly smooth, I guess Jesus isn't the only one turning water into wine. A 5/5 experience, I would highly recommend to any friend and I will gladly return once this horrendous lockdown comes to an end. (Screw you Ford)

With most places without heated patios being closed, my friends and I settled for Lapinou. Food was very average but I must say the cocktails were surprisingly amazing. They also had cute martini glasses which is always a nice touch. Now about the staff - I understand emotions are high at the moment due to us going back to lockdown, but their staff need to be trained on customer service. There was a nice one who recommended a martini to try which was great, after our waiter told us to look at the menu when asked what other martinis he’ll recommend. I admit someone in my group sent two drinks back which must have been frustrating, however the rest of us were extra nice to him for this reason, and we do sympathize with the hospitality industry in these trying times. Most likely wouldn’t be back... too many restaurants in Toronto willing to take my money.
