The 1000 Islands Tower is a concrete observation tower on Hill Island, essentially on the U.S.-Canada border, but actually located within Ontario rather than New York State. Built in 1965, the tower provides panoramic views over the Thousand Islands of both nations, from a height of 400 feet (120 m) above the St. Lawrence River.

Great view from the top! Free parking but you have to pay 4 to across the Thousand Island Bridge. Worth going to explore at any time of the year, although they significantly shrinks opening hours due to COVID-19. Please refer to their website for details.

The view from the top was amazing. I thought I had to climb all the way to the top. But they have an elevator which only takes 40 seconds. You have a 360 view at the top of the tower. There are three levels. When you exit the elevator at the top, the first floor will be a glass covered area. But the next two levels are open. The second floor is windy but the top is not that much and it's open. You can see the horizon from the top and it's all green everywhere since the Summer just began. There's no age limit and you can purchase the tickets from ground ticket office. There are special occasion dinners also. The dates are mentioned in the posters.

Majestic place to have a mesmerizing view of thousand islands. It's at the US Canada border overlooking the checkpoint. Fall colors are visible in all its glory. Treat to watch and enjoy.
