Inadequate. Incapable. Unprofessional. What my family and I went through with this agency was one of the most traumatizing experiences of our lives. At first they abandoned my nieces and nephews in horrific conditions. If you're thinking of fostering i'll warn you that they don't support you at all or the kids in your care. They have no respect, can be rude and misuse their power regularly, with no one keeping them accountable. It takes them months to reimburse foster parents for expenses related to children in care. They don't even bring kids to their appointments and didn't even provide socks and underwear or warm clothes to our kids. In my opinion, Kina is not interested in protecting children. They exist to maintain band membership and the political power and funding that comes with it. Why would they model themselves after CAS with all their colonial violent policies knowing what has happened over the generations. The workers relax into their comfy 80,000 salaries and don't work! They don't communicate properly with you or their own agency, don't meet responsibilities, but manage to protect each other and hide things when you call them out. The director is on the Sudbury Sunshine list and earns over 100,000 a year to run this violent institution and all its failings. Meanwhile, they leave kids in their without basic necessities like underwear, actually. Now I understand how over 119 Indigenous children have died while being involved with a child welfare agency in Ontario. Agencies like this are maintaining the system that kills our children and destroys families. Our own people carrying out the white man's work of genocide. And most of the workers are white anyway! Shame on this institution. Shame! Hands off our kids!

These idiots just came into the post delivery room at the hospital after my son was born. Tried to bully us into "volunteering" to go along with there program when I refused they tried even harder untill i had to tell them to leave our room due to the fact it was stressing the new mother and child SHAME ON YOU ALL!

Please be warned Anita I had to quickly travel to Ottawa and get a home monitoring system to save my family from Kina. Get out while you still can.

Sadly they don't only go after children in distress or abandoned children :( I hope they can improve their system and hire people who care about the best interest of the chidren, are compassionate and understanding.
