Buta Ramen has a relatively small menu, but what they focus on they do very well. I had the Tonkatsu ramen with wavy noodles and some chili oil (the 'spicy broth') and it was deliciously creamy without being dull. There were enough flavours there to brighten up and create a well balanced dish. Price point is reasonable. They appear to do a roaring takeout trade, though I am sure many are during this pandemic. The dining room is small-ish, but attractive. It's a bright space. Our server was fantastic - they were attentive, polite, and bubbly. P. S. I like the rollup garage door and I'm sure that it's even more fun in warmer weather.

I live nearby and have now tried all of their ramen bowls, and never have they disappointed. They're all so delicious, but I keep going back to the veg ramen - the shitake broth is so incredibly tasty. Great food, great staff, and always quick & friendly!

The noodle soup bowls are amazing, I have been there several times and it tastes amazing each and every time. Staff are amazing, and it's very quick service, I have been in and out in half an hour a couple times. If you ever have a chance to go, do it and it will change your life!

As someone who spent 4 1/2 years living and working in Japan ... I was delighted at how delicious the ramen I was served was. (Have to watch TAMPOPO again LOL). Got takeout.... came in a nanosecond and was on point! I will be back.

I felt weird having Ramen with such a huge spoon. The good thing is I love feeling weird. Great Ramen, will slurp from an oversized spoon again.

Absolutely excellent food. I've been quite a number of times and have never been disappointed. The staff is great if you're there with first-timers who are new to the Japanese ramen experience and they'll happily answer any questions. To those accustomed to the place, going in and ordering a quick bowl to eat and enjoy quickly is just as nice of an experience as well. I've personally never had a wait here, and if I'm downtown and am feeling hungry this will always be one of my first choices!

A great place to go for a simple yet delicious bowl of noodles! Buta Ramen is one of the only places to offer straight noodles, and their tonkotsu soup is not made of powdered soup base like some other places around town use. Very fast service, and food comes out Instagramable at a fair price.

The veggie ramen was yummy, and vegan plant based, it would have been good with some tofu or something with more protein, it had a variety of veg which was great. We had a table of 6, everyone else got served their dishes 10-15 mins before me, it would have been nice to all eat at the same time but it was fine. The draft Sapporo was really good too!
