Communicated with the club (Dec 28) that I was extending my suspension of services as I was supporting my father through cancer treatment… So far they charge me an additional 800 Well closed due to Covid, and with my account on suspension… no communication… Avoid avoid avoid new owners are scam artists... For the record I have been a member of this gym for almost 10 years
The communication at the mayfield location is atrocious. The new manager is incapable of clear, direct communication, and talks in circles trying to make it seem like she's helping when it is painfully obvious that she's not actually doing anything. She also refused to give me contact information to her superior. Have been dealing with account issues for a while now, no one is helping. Never had these issues before with the old manager or before the name change. The way they just take whatever they want from your account under the guise of mysterious charges that were never agreed to is so shady and unethical. Taking money from people during covid shutdown without consulting them first, is shady and unethical. They seem to just take whatever they want whenever they want and refuse to answer any questions. BUYER BEWARE. I will tell everyone I can to stay away from this gym! Which is a shame because it is a nice facility with some amazing staff but they will literally steal your money.
Went with my friend to try and get her account cancelled. Doug had it frozen until May. Dennis was suppose to call her to iron out the details to get her account cancelled. That never happened. Dawn sent her an email saying the account is now frozen for one whole month, this is after they charged her two 21 pro rate fees... These gyms are nothing but a scam. They were the same when they were World Health Club.
I came here a couple times a few years ago before they changed the franchise name. Inside was beautiful and was very spacious. Nothing to complain about here!
I went today to get an info about the classes. During the conversation with the receptionist ( Danialle) I was rudely interrupted by Dawn. I don't know who is she, but it was absolutely unprofessional and disrespectful. When I asked for an apology, DAWN turned around and left. I felt very unwelcome. Terrible experience !!! I hope my message will rich owners!
Stay away from this gym!! I tried cancelling my account back in mid October when I realized they had suddenly started charging me WEEKLY after the covid freeze. I called on numerous occasions to try and cancel but even though I was told on the phone by staff that it was, I continued getting charged. Since finally having my account cancelled (you need to send an email to head office to do it) I've tried repeatedly to get those charges refunded but the managers of this location have completely ignored my emails and calls. They have legitimately pocketed my money. I had been a member of his gym (formerly world health / club fit ) for 10 years and have never had such terrible customer service since the new management / name change. Save your money, even after this pandemic is over and don't go here.
Brendan Hill is a great personal trainer. I had tried numerous personal trainers in the past with little to no success. Brendan was referred to me by a physiotherapist and he lived up to the recommendation. He is very professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him if you are looking for a personal trainer.
