I got the minced pork with egg on rice to go. This was the worst value meal that I've had. Paid over 11 for a big bowl of rice with the few, tiny pieces of pork and an egg that had a rubbery texture. If you just want a big bowl of overpriced steamed rice, this is the dish for you. Never. Coming. Back.
While the quality of food was alright the quantity doesn't live up to its price. Service was mediocre as well and there wasn't even a lot of customers to begin with. \u200d️
I enjoyed the bubble tea here. I ordered several flavours and I didn't find a bad one. I didn't eat buy when I was there I did see many people enjoying their food. I also saw prompt service. I did find the bubble tea a bit pricy and this is why I removed a star. I would recommend buying the larger size as the smaller one shows poor value for the price point. The large is only 50 cents more so appears worth it.
The atmosphere is contemporary with an nice European feel. The food is not served in large portions and it is quite expensive. I got a 6 dollar drink and it did not come with jelly or tapioca. But the plus side is that you can get a free bucket of popcorn for your visit. And if you enjoy a nicely decorated shop, this is the place to go and try! But be sure to bring enough money, the cheapest drink is like almost 5.50 but the taste is quite nice! Overall, a decent bubble tea store to enjoy!
Did takeout for an iced tea and crepe cake! Delicious. Very nice place with a big menu (though I think takeout is more limited?) and service was fine, ordering was straightforward. My iced tea came with 'mixed tapioca', which I've never had before, haha, and I think I prefer the larger pearls by themselves so I know to maybe ask for that if possible next time!
VERY DISAPPOINTED! Microwave food and extremely terrible service! When they first started at Warden and Steeles, it used to be my favorite hang out place with my friends. I came to the Elgin Mills location with my friend few weeks ago, it was pretty empty, there was just another table beside us. We ordered two minced pork rice (I remember it used to be around 6 before, now they increased their price to 9.99) When our food came, the portion was pathetically small! I think I can even count the amount of minced pork there was, not to mention we only got 2 sides instead of 3 (as shown on menu). When we asked the server why the portion is smaller compared to the other locations, the server allegedly argued that the portions should be the same because THEY JUST MICROWAVED the food that's transported from the Warden location. When we politely asked if we can get separate bills, the server rolled her eyes at us, I would totally understand if they were busy but there were 4 servers with only 2 tables AND me and my friend ordered the exact same thing so she literally just needed to divide it by 2. We were speechless. I wish I have the option to give zero star....
Love this location! The layout and design of the place makes the perfect atmosphere for a date. The location is also really quiet so you can have a meeting or work in peace. The bubble tea and food isn't half bad either!
