Not willing to give 5 stars because it is annoying that I need to make multiple trips from Vancouver Island to drive my boyfriend to this place during a pandemic to do tasks that can theoretically be done in a single appointment. The only positive is that they are quick with him via email correspondences and are flexible to give him dates. The massively annoying part is their system in general. They're not open for many hours, most of the essential staff needed to fulfill one of my boyfriend's paperwork was deemed nonessential and a different appointment needs to be booked in addition to our two trips... my boyfriend ended up cancelling that appointment because we are not going to make a third trip under 60 days. First trip was to renew his two pieces of ID, second trip is to pick up said ID they won't ship it without charging an exorbitant amount. The processing fee was pricey in USD, you'd think shipping would be included with it...

Today I had a terrible experience at Vancouver's consulate, the same document my husband did in Los Angeles last week, which I tipped one document for my husband and exactly the same for me to get AFP funds in Chile. In LA cost him US5 and it was ready in 1 day but in Vancouver cost me US35 (47 Canadians) and it was ready in one week. I was so upset! They are lazy and don't provide any advice.

If I could give zero stars I would. The staff are arrogant, unhelpful, and borderline incompetent. It is a real shame that the official face of Chile in Vancouver is such a disgrace. Please hope to God you do not have to deal with Victor B. I never had high expectations due to my experience with other embassies and consulates, but these guys really dropped the ball big time. The only shining grace is that they rep the local Chilean store, Panaderia Latina Bakery.

I imagine that like many Chileans in Canada who are looking at how to get our 10% of the AFPs, we encounter some barriers that will delay this process (either expired card, AFP affiliation or current account in Chile or another), for The same sent an email with my doubts to the Vancouver consulate, I did not imagine that I was going to get such clear, precise and incredibly accurate answers from them, however was and I am pleasantly surprised by it. The person responsible for helping me is Mr. Peter Siemsen, who without knowing him but due to his writing, the certainty with which he solved my doubts and prompt response to my concerns I could see that he is a person fully committed and dedicated to his work, very proactive and without a doubt someone quite smart. Thank you very much for the help Mr. Siemsen.

I been trying to reach someone here for the past month wondering if I need an appointment or I can walk in without an appointment but with no luck, the reason why is I live in Alberta and this is the closest consulate near me to handle my business. The Phone number doesn't work all you get is a prerecorded message informing you to email them to contact them and I've sent about a dozen messages and haven't and still no reply...
