Debbie in the paint section went that little extra mile for me yesterday. I had a piece of paint from a wall to try to match but it wasn’t big enough, was told at a local hardware they couldn’t do it. Debbie cut the small pieces and taped them together so they were about the size of a toonie so she could get a reading and voila we got a match. Thank you so much for that little extra touch. I really appreciated it.

Canadian Tire (Tantallon) has the worst auto service. I made an appointment for a winter tire changeover, brake inspection and rust-proofing. I left my truck at this store location on the morning of November 23rd (8 AM). I was told by the auto service representative they would call when I could pick up my truck. He won’t commit to a time. I have had auto service at this location before and have been somewhat satisfied with the services provided. At 3 PM I called the auto service department wanting a status update on my truck and a pick up time. I was told the truck was not yet ready to be picked up and they would call me . . . could be after 6 PM. I went to the store at 5:30 PM and was told none of the services I requested has been started and that not all the services will be completed before the closing hour. They had my truck for 9 HOURS AND DID NOTHING. I was never told where I was in the queue – they never will tell you if you are first or last in line. I was so frustrated with the situation I demanded my truck back. I gave the manager of the auto service department an ear full and all he said was “sorry”. That was it! I’ve been a loyal customer of Canadian Tire for at least 35 plus years and have never really had a bad experience such as this. I will never take my truck back to this Canadian Tire location for servicing. I will never again purchase my tires, battery, oil, wiper blades, auto fluids, etc. from a Canadian Tire store. Do yourself a favor and book your auto service anywhere other than the Canadian Tire store in Tantallon, they don’t deserve your business.
