Great food, and fair prices. Love their unagi and special scallop! They always package their delivery/takeout really well... they even sent us some free face masks!

Absolutely a great deal for the quality and price! It is hard to find their lunch specials online but you can find pics attached or in-person. They did a very good job on packaging, all dishes (minus the tempera which is deep-fried) were saran-wrapped underneath the packaging for cleanliness/freshness and the napkins even had a cute bell attached (probably from leftover Christmas decorations but still a nice touch). Most lunch specials here come with miso soup and salad for the price which is better than I can say for most other places. Definitely a hidden gem during covid! Note: I believe this place had been run by a different owner before 2019 but still has old reviews. All I can say is I have been here numerous times over the past year and I have never been disappointed, and I'm glad I did not have to experience the place under the previous ownership.

Misrepresented their prices. Nothing was the same price as on the menu. The website says 10.95 for the wagyu yakiniku salad yet was charged 12.95. The negi-tama was listed at 13.95 on the website I was charged 15.95. 5pcs of salmon sashimi listed at 9.95 online (2 per piece), yet I ordered 8 pcs and paid 17.95 (2.25 per piece). I also wasn't impressed by the quality of anything. The meat was probably not wagyu but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. The sashimi was nothing special and for some reason the salad underneath had dressing on it.

Quick service and the portions are quite large. Fresh and flavourful. Try the Hawaiian roll (spicy tuna), mango roll and volcano roll. The traditional ramen is good and the udon soup comes in a huge bowl. The lunch menu is also great value - salmon Sushi combo for only 13 and will fill you up. A hidden gem in Royal Oak/Rocky Ridge for the price and quick service. There's even a small play place for the little ones while you wait.

I’ve been here for 5 more times. It’s the most traditional japanese restaurant in Calgary. We had sashimi, japanese bbq and japanese style hotpot. They had tiger prawn for their sashimi, the sashimi is super fresh and their Japanese style bbq is traditional as well, not like other North American style Japanese sushi restaurant. I also like their beef don.

Located in Royal Oak, this Japanese restaurant has a variety of dishes to choose from. Don (rice), ramen, sushi , sashimi, shabu shabu, yakitori, tempura. The restaurant heavily advertises the meat they use is from a certain farm, so we tried their cooked items instead of sushi. The meat did not disappoint, but not to the point that I could tell if they didn't advertise. I really enjoyed my beef don with raw egg but my wife's ramen was nothing to write home about. The soup was real average in view of all the Japanese noodle houses around town. Beef tataki was impressive and so were the yakitori. The service was a bit on the slow side. We finished most of the food but the ramen took considerably longer to arrive. I will definitely return again as it got me curious about its sushi and shabu shabu.

First time eating at this restaurant. Looking forward for their ramen. We ordered 2 ramen, gyoza, fried skewers. Ramen was serve pretty fast but it just taste normal, the meat don't have any flavors feel they just cooked at boiled water that's allsoup base is soy sauce is a little bit on the sweety side. Surprisingly the gyoza and skewers took over 30 mins to serve and taste just normal nothing to mention about. Calgary's Japanese ramen needs more improvement to compete with Vancouver and Toronto ramen store which is really awesome.

Highly suggest this Japanese restaurant! Friendly servers and delicious food, also the price is not expensive. As a student, I still can afford it. Overall, this restaurant is awesome! ! : )
