Wow. Has Home Depot ever gone downhill. I remember the good old days of them having friendly, knowledgeable staff that was helpful. Was looking to buy some 3/4 inch plywood. Someone paged an associate that never came. Loaded some on a cart myself. Asked the cashier if two of the pieces were 5/8 instead of 3/4 as they looked thinner. They insisted it was 3/4. Charged me for 3/4. No one available to help load my truck. Of course it was actually 5/8. I’m not a lumber person but I guess I should have known. I said to another customer service rep while I was there... “sure would have been nice to have help with this - loading it on a cart, advice on which plywood to get. Her answer was “the guy probably phoned in sick and there was no one available. Who did they page then? Isn’t lumber one of their specialties? It’s a building supply store for crying out loud. The last few times I have tried to go online to check stock have been a complete failure. They said they have 16 of something but don’t even have one? Seriously what is going on with you guys? I’m thinking Lowe’s or Rona from now on.

Syed in appliances was fantastic to deal with. No pressure what so ever unlike the major appliance stores like trail or coast. Amazing from beginning to end and honest. Employees like him need to be appreciated by management!!!
Great place frequented by the trades and 'DIY' There is lots of selection and great deals on sale items. This is definitely a good alternative to Canadian Tire. Free on site parking. Close to Bus, Subway station .
