Great location and price. Nice staff. We stayed in a "Queen room". The queen bed was old and broken: more like a queen hammock. I imagine we could've switched rooms but we already had our luggage up the stairs. Instead we slept in the bunk beds, which were also in our private room. They were comfortable. A friend stayed in a shared dorm room the same night and said there was a long-term tenant who started playing guitar in the room at 10:30 pm while he was hoping to sleep. He also said that room was pretty gross from the long-term tenant.

Pretty good room, solid location and functional property. Booked a private room with a buddy for the 5 days we had in town. The hostel is very decent, the room was nice and the staff were super chill, great people. Felt pretty safe most of the time since it wasn't very busy, but still felt like a bit of a risk, anything is these days. Downsides/Complaints/Cons: - Main building is not accessible after hours, and is separated from the rooms so you always have to go outside to go inside. Had an early morning phone call to make (around 6am), and could not get inside any of the common areas as the front door gets locked after hours. Would be nice if my keycard would've worked to get in. - Kitchen was smelly, very fishy on day 1 but got better. Good kitchen with pretty much everything needed, lots of fridge storage, but found very(!) old rotting food on the 'free food shelf'...a blue honey ham to be exact. If that area was a maintained a bit better I think the smell would go away. Good kitchen space otherwise. - Hot water was a tad sensitive, was never a major issue but it would start fading around 10mins in the shower. Not a major impediment though.
Great place for spending couple of nights when on a budget trip. Stayed in a male dormitory for 3 nights. The price was not at all cheap, but Banff during summer weekends is bound to be expensive. The room and bunk beds by themselves were clean and well organized. There were individual bed curtains, bedside shelf and lights available. The washroom was clean too. Though I couldn't meet all of my dormitory mates, they were chill and I spent my time without any noise or disturbances. However, the room was extremely hot with poor ventilation. The wall mounted fan made quite a noise when switched on. The first night someone had switched off the fan in the middle of the night, I somehow survived getting roasted alive. I am not exaggerating, it was very hot in the room. However, next two nights we kept the fan running and everything was fine. The breakfast is free, but don't expect a proper breakfast. It just cereals, milk, bread, cakes, coffee lined up in the kitchen and one has to take whatever they want by themselves. Not bad, but I preferred McDonald's for two out of the three mornings. Summarizing, I would totally recommended this place for budget stay, it's ideal place save for the few issues I have mentioned above.
This place was a nightmare to stay at. Employees randomly entered without warning in the middle of the night twice. Lack of toilet paper, towels, and there was dried blood stains on bathroom door and hand soap dispenser. I would avoid this place.
I stayed there last time. Good staff and comfy bed
The room is clean, the washroom is kept very clean. Every bed has its own curtain so everyone has their own privacy. Everyone in our dorm behave very well. There is a mini fridge in our dorm. There are lockers and also one underneath the bottom bunk bed. There is a fan in the room. The room is quite dark so it makes you sleep in comfortably in the morning. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The lady at the front desk gave me a lot of information for what hikes to do around Banff. I never checked out the kitchen so I can’t comment on that. The laundry room is very neat. It opens from 8am-8pm. Though the price is quite high. 2.5 for washer and 2.5 for dryer and 1.5 for detergent. The hostel is a short walk to The central area where all the restaurants and shops are. It’s also a short walk to the Tunnel mountain trailhead. I stayed here for 3 days and definitely stay here again if I come back to Banff.
Some Hostel!!! Had not been able to find a place to shower for over 10 days as i am homeless and couldnt afford a motel or hotel, Well if i had 40 , i could have a shower,, Whats 40 a day times 31? 1,240 a month to stay at a hostel, I simply left stinking to no fault of my own, I can only try to be clean like the rich that pay more a night to stay there than i eat in a month and this place disguised as a hostel turned a homeless man away from a shower during covid. This is my reply, at the time i lost more of any dignity that i had and tried to get myself clean at the local Husky bathroom ,down the street. I think that they are more of a hotel than a hostel and may want to consider changing their name
Right on Banff street and easy access to shops and restaurants. Clerk gave excellent customer service. The room was clean and had its own bathroom and mini fridge. It was a room for 6 with 2 bunkbeds and 2 single beds on a mezzanine above, but during covid-19 they only accommodated half of the customer capacity. Very safe, clean place and great price
