Pretty clean place. Clean linen, clean washroom and showers. It was uncomfortable to use a lower bunk: upper bunk is too low under lower one. It's impossible to sit there, you only can lay down, and when you are turning from one side to another, your hands would touch upper bunk. Privacy curtains would be a good addition. The kitchen there definitely needs better range hood - when I came in the hostel, I could smell all variety of suppers people cooking downstairs in the kitchen.

Very close to Down Town, LGBTQ friendly staff. All stores are just few steps away, there's shuttle service (pickup & drop off) from the Edmonton airport to the hostel door step. LGBTQ friendly No Frills nearby. If you dont drive there's bus service from across the street to anywhere even West Edmonton mall. Lots of bars around. Hostel is super clean. Love it.
Great place to lodge in the city! Within walking distance to many restaurants and shopping areas. Very hospitable staff and lots of room to lounge and meet new people! Although I found the rooms to be quite warm some nights (in August) but I didn’t let that ruin my experience. Overall, I would definitely recommend staying at HI Edmonton!
Walkable to downtown across the river valley, as well as to public transport. Friendly staff, nice bonus breakfast of oatmeal and bars. Affordable laundry, with high levels of cleanliness from bathrooms to hallways to rooms. Well stocked kitchen with pans, utensils and plates etc.
This hostel was the cleanest hostel I have ever been so far. The cleaning ladies did an amazing job. The staff was so friendly and the location was great. It's a 20 to 30 minutes walk to downtown. There wasn't that much people at the hostel when I stayed there, so it was pretty quiet. I stayed in an 8 bed female dorm. There were very big lockers and the beds were comfortable. During my 2 nights stay I had a maximum of 2 roommates. I really liked this hostel because of the cleanness and the friendly staff!
A very nice place to stay. Rates are cheap. You have dormitories for men and women. Also you have mixed dormitories. Dormitories have lockers to contain your personal belongings. Washrooms are clean and spacious. Friendly staffs. Very ambient atmosphere.
The hostel is super clean, super welcoming and efficient! They could use some work on the the group activities that they host, but all in all a great place to stay!
Stayed here for 3 months for an project at the University - one of the best hostels that I had stayed - affordable - friendly and very helpful staff - prime location and quite a few events to keep the residents interested ! Very surprised that not a lot of people know about this !! Will definitely recommend to fellow travellers and will definitely be coming back!!
