Uncontested best place to get tackle and gear. Super knowledgeable staff will get you set up and are awesome. They all have great knowledge of the gear that's sold there and they are all avid anglers so they know their stuff. Just bought a great fly rod and reel setup there for a good price. No where I'd rather go for sport fishing needs. Keep it up Fred!
Fred and his team have an amazing store for anything tackle. They specialize and started helping folks fish fresh water rivers and lakes, and now have pretty much anything fishing. I think the best part of the stop is the sales people and specialists that are at the store. A lot of guides are friends of the company and are often found in the store and help with questions and suggestions. If you are serious about fishing you have to visit Fred's Tackle.
Tremendous experience with Ray and the rest of the team at the Abbotsford location. My 14 year old son had recently shown an interest in fishing and my personal fishing experience is very limited. Ordinarily, one might be intimidated walking into a specialty store like Fred's. However, the exact opposite happened with Ray and the team. He asked us questions, spoke directly to my son and made us feel so very comfortable during the experience. Clearly, they are experts and can offer exceptional consultation with expert fishermen. But the real gift in my eyes, is the willingness and ability to work with beginner fishermen and still have a positive impact. Cannot thank Ray enough. PS: less than 90 mins after walking out of Fred's, this happened...refer to pic below :)
