I bought Ben's training videos 14 years ago when I bought my first dog. His training methods were a joy and helped me develop a very strong bond with my Springer. I had her doing off leash recalls 50-100 feet's away within the first few weeks when she was only 5 months old. Everywhere we went, she was ALWAYS the best behaved dog.... and I even worked in a dog training center in Salt Lake City for a bit! She just passed and I wanted to write this review because once again, I will be using his methods to train my next dog.

My dogs have been in Ben’s care since 1995. Although I’ve checked out other businesses, they don’t come close to the care and the compassion that Wonderdogs reaps on its dogs. And the size and layout of the property really ensures that my dog comes home exhausted.
Wonderdogs has been the perfect dog daycare for us. The entire team is very professional and care deeply about all of the dogs in their care. I so appreciate that my puppy is still learning and socializing throughout the day while I'm at work so that when I'm home we can focus more on training and relaxing together instead of trying to expend all his pent up energy. They are very accommodating and flexible. It such a relief to know that I have somewhere to take him whenever I need to. Ben has also been very on top of Covid precautions and making sure that we follow protocols. As someone who works with at risk populations, I have extra appreciated this. Whenever I pull up to Wonderdogs, Iroh's tail instantly starts wagging and he bounds to the gate. He would definitely give it 5 stars. We both heartily recommend it.
Our Golden Retriever pup was great with people but aggressive with all dogs. We are experienced dog owners and used all of our knowledge plus we worked with group and individual classes. After several hundred dollars and tons of energy and love - things were only getting worse. Although we live in Nanaimo, I thought maybe Ben could help as my first dog had done classes with him. After discussing the situation, we decided Willow should stay with him for a week. Ben sent us videos over that week and she, very quickly, was running happily with the pack. The puppy I brought home with me was completely changed. Happier, calmer and, most importantly, plays and gets along with all dogs and puppies. Only regret is I wish I had called Ben first!
Wonderdogs is by far the best there is. Our puppy, Bailey, is absolutely in love. She is sad to leave when we pick her up! The outdoor exercise, and other interactions with dogs, has really made the world of difference for her. After 2 visits, she even is responding better to simple commands. It is phenomenal! The staff are so kind and professional, and you can see that Bailey loves them a load. Ben is also exceptional in clear communication and is so, so kind. Ben and his family and staff are truly top notch, and the smiles of pure happiness on our pup at the end of the day makes it worth every penny. Look no further - you have found the best of the best with Wonderdogs! :-)
