This is a fantastic library, and it's my go-to building on campus to study and get work done. The entire facility is kept very clean and tidy, which I'm very impressed by considering there are so many students using all the different parts of the library everyday. There are silent study rooms, which play a continuous white noise, allowing for focussed studying in peace and quiet. Many desks in the library are right beside large windows, and allow for absolutely incredible views of Nanaimo, the ocean, and the mountains of the mainland! Highly recommend getting your studying done in this library if you're a VIU student.

I love to study here! My issue is cleanliness! Its filthy in there! The walls are covered in stains the tables are constantly filthy. I feel like no wonder we all get so sick!

The librarians are always so incredibly helpful. Often times there are is a librarian who is the contact librarian for a VIU program meaning that they are specialists in finding resources in your field. The issue I have is with the space of the building. There are never enough computers available downstairs. There are never enough desks on the forth floor. It can be SO frustrating when you're trying to find a quiet place to study.

Great place to study. The first floor though is more of a social place, unless you go into the silent rooms.
