I bought a good quality bottle opener. It broke just after several weeks. The store refused to replace it, saying I must deal directly with the manufacturer. Terrible customer service for a business focused on quality products. I then contacted the manufacturer who by email stated that the store should have simply replaced the item, given I had the receipt, the item was only a few months old, and the store had one in stock.

I've had a great experience with HOK's customer service. I purchased online the Chogan tomahawk and the parascale, along with stuff from clearance (pretty good deals). I value their patience and benevolence. Thank you for knowing what the right thing to do in a given situation. Not only do they look after themselves but they also care about their customers. It showed. Respect. *bow

Update: Thank you to the customer service team for fully addressing the concerns mentioned in the below review. They were very helpful in rectifying the problem. I took my Shun 8" chef's knife here for sharpening and was extremely disappointed. It is my favourite knife and I use it daily in the kitchen. When I picked it up is was duller than when I dropped it off and was sharpened with a bevel, therefore slicing on an angle. I brought the knife back in for re-sharpening and the staff working that day were extremely nice and very friendly and apologetic. They offered to re-sharpen it on the spot for me and then I tested it in the store quickly and it seemed better. However, when I got home I notice the knife was still not performing as it should and that they had actually ruined the edge on the knife. It is now not straight when along the bottom edge as they took too much off in one section. (if placing the edge on the counter there is a gap in the middle that does not touch!) I am so upset as this is a very nice knife and as I mentioned, my favourite. I will now have to take it elsewhere to get the edge completely redone. I would not recommend their knife sharpening services. Despite going one previous time and having everything turn out ok (with the same knife), it is not worth the rick of ruining another knife. However, if you are looking to busy something the staff were really friendly.
Purchased a Peugeot corkscrew from this store. It broke just after 2 months. No replacement or service offered by the store. Terrible product failure policies and associated customer service.
